Graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2001. In 2005 completed the MSc program of Medical Research Technology of the Medical School of Thessaloniki and in 2006 was awarded a PhD diploma in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology took place in Greece and in England and in 2009 he acquired his Certificate of Completion of Training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (CCT). He worked as a post-CCT Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Free Hospital in London, UK, where he sub-specialized in Maternal Medicine, Colposcopy, Endoscopic Surgery. In 2010 he acquired the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DFSRH)

He was further trained in the Subspecialty of Assisted Reproduction for 3 years according to ESHRE/EBCOG training program and became a Specialist in Assisted Reproduction and Infertility. Since 2015 he is an Academic Consultant in the 1st Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and works in the Unit of Human Reproduction and Assisted Conception of the Department, in Papageorgiou General Hospital of Thessaloniki. He works also as a private Consultant covering all spectrum of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the Subspecialty of Assisted Reproduction.

In 2017 he completed the Clinical Scholars Research Training (CSRT) of Harvard University, USA. He is a member of many international and Greek societies including ESHRE, ESGE, RCOG, BSCCP, FSRH, Harvard Alumni Association. He is a writer of 2 chapters in medical books in English and 2 chapters in Greek medical books, 19 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals, 21 abstracts in medical journals and has contributed in 27 announcements in international congresses and 52 announcements in Greek medical congresses.
